Made in 1958 in an edition of 350.
This special lithography was made in two stages. The First State was made by Picasso in 1956 in 6 colours. The date in black on the left top corner shows this. Picasso then adds 11 colours in 1958, creating the Second State. At that point he also adds the dedication, his signature and the second date in red ink top center. The artwork depicts Jacqueline in Picasso's Studio in Cannes, in the South of France. She is posing for him in a rocking chair. It also shows the canvas Picasso is working on and a palm tree in the background.
This artwork is prominently shown on the cover of the Picasso/Mourlot Lithograpic Works Volume II Catalogue.
Artwork comes with a certificate of Authenticity and a copy of this Mourlot Catalogue.
