Many of the paintings, lithographs and pochoirs presented in Renssen Art Gallery have been framed by Sainthill Frames. “His expertise in choosing the right frame for every art piece is invaluable to us” says Renssen. “We are able to offer made to measure advise on all framing possibilities with help of his experience”.
Renssen Art Gallery has built a special working relationship with their English frame maker, Guy Sainthill. He has been making frames in the Netherlands for over 20 years and together with his team of highly skilled carvers and gilders they advise, restore and make some of the finest frames for major museums and collectors both in The Netherlands and internationally.
Guy Sainthill (England, 1967) began his career as a gilder in Paris in 1988 and moved to the Netherlands in 1990 to work for Paul Gehring Lijsten in Amsterdam. 1992 saw the start of De Roo & Sainthill framemakers in Haarlem and from 2010 he continued under his own name. Sainthill Frames today consist of a team of 7 highly skilled and specialized craftsmen and women who have, for the most, been working together for the last decade. Their high standards are evident in the quality and reputation of their frames.
